Almond cream with fresh strawberries

Malakoff is a spectacular dessert from the high Russian courts. Malakoff cake is one of the easiest desserts that can be a spectacular addition to your repertoire.
The name Malakoff is Russian and probably the cake's origin is from the Russian Court when a French chef was hired for the royal family.
Ingredients
- 1L washed and dried strawberries
- 1/3 cup orange liqueur
- 2/3 cups water
- 24 ladyfingers
- 220 gr butter (soft)
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 1/3 cups chopped almonds
- 1/4 almond extract
- 4 whipped cream
Method
- Clean the strawberries, wash them, and let them dry.
- Line a 10 cm high and 18 cm diameter cake pan with paper.
- Pour the liqueur and water into a deep plate, dip each ladyfinger, and set aside to dry.
- Beat the butter and sugar for 3-4 minutes in a mixer or with a whisk until you get a cream, add the liqueur, extract, and almond flour.
- Whip the cream until it splatters the walls, add to the almond mixture.
- Arrange them in a ring shape in the baking dish, add one-third of the cream and arrange another layer of biscuits, add the cream, repeat the procedure once more. Chill for 6 hours in the refrigerator.
This light summer dessert can be decorated with fresh strawberries and served with a sauce made from the remaining strawberries. Extremely elegant and refined.
