Sit down at the table and enjoy the style and splendor of the majestic rooms of the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, with this collection of tableware inspired by the art on the V&A walls.

The Cole Collection was born from the beauty and luxury of the three dining areas of the V&A Museum.
The origins of these superb rooms date back to the world's first museum restaurant: which was introduced to the V&A in 1856. The museum's founding director, Henry Cole, introduced this restaurant to encourage the public to come and enjoy culture while savoring a meal and a comforting cup of tea, both much needed after a long day exploring the V&A halls and all its unique artifacts.

Today's three rooms are named Poynter, Gamble, and Morris, honoring the artists who worked on them, and are decorated as delicately as any other treasure found in the museum.
Each room is an ambitious decorating scheme, weaving a variety of symphonized cultural inspirations onto a captivating canvas from the V&A floors to the majestic ceilings created by artists.
The Cole Collection is complex; the designers illustrated decorative details from each room.
Elegant blue and white give this collection a coordinated look, while the patterns are eclectic and mixed, so individual combinations can be explored on the table. A strong accent in Dutch blue offers a bold look and is inspired by the style of the Poynter room: the blue ceramic tiles used in this room were painted by female students, which was an unusual opportunity for women at that time.

The tableware collection combines floral arabesque style, geometric patterns, and olive branches found in the Morris Room, a historic place that became popular as esteemed artists often had lunch there.

Like the Gamble room - decorated with ceramics and stained glass, it invites visitors to unique culinary and visual experiences.

The Cole Collection is made of fine, durable porcelain for everyday use, bringing the cultural inspiration of the V&A museum atmosphere to every dining experience at home.

V&A creates products with a unique patented design using historical artworks from the Victoria and Albert Museum archives. These highly popular products, also sold in the museum shop, are inspired by the icons, refinements, and unique artifacts found in this heritage institution, preserving timeless pieces that can be enjoyed, displayed, and cherished for many generations.
