Decorating Easter eggs holds the same energetic significance for me as decorating a Christmas tree.
Is it perhaps due to that childlike feeling of "awaiting a miracle"? I love to bring joy to the eyes of my loved ones, and I believe that the eve of holidays is filled with euphoria because we set ourselves up positively to gratefully welcome the big day.
Decorating the house for Easter can be a fun family activity or a relaxing one for others; it is certainly an enjoyable process.
You don't need to be Picasso to draw on eggs; you just need paint, brushes, and soap, as hands can get dirty easily.
I was inspired by the 1950s textile prints of the Campbell designers, who founded their company in 1979.
The steps are simple: I lightly sketched with a pencil to guide the brush, applied the base color, and added a few white and black accents. I used acrylic paints; the same technique can be used with gouache, and the thinner the brush, the more you stand to gain.
On one egg, I managed 4 small bunches of flowers, placed one below and one above, and the empty spaces were filled with 3 dots.
