The tradition of decorating an Easter tree is centuries old, present in all ancient cultures around the world, and its origins are lost in the mists of time. However, it is believed to be connected to the arrival of spring, the blossoming of trees, and the celebration of life. The Easter tree is perceived as a symbol of communion and joy, while the egg symbolizes life.

It is a tradition that originated in Germany and Austria and gradually began to be adopted in other countries. These special and colorful creations are called "Osterbaum" (Easter trees) and bring color to gardens, but we can also create festive arrangements for the interior of the house. The Easter Bunny will be delighted to leave gifts next to the decorated branches.
The story of the largest and most beautiful decorated Easter tree went around the world when, in a town in eastern Germany, Volker Kraft began to develop a true passion for Osterbaum in 1965, hanging only 18 emptied eggs on the apple tree in his yard. Year after year, the family collected more and more colorful eggs for the garden tree. Thanks to this tradition, which grew with each season, decorating began a week before Easter, and the number of ornaments reached approximately 10,000 units. Impressive, isn't it? Later, in the 2000s, the entire collection was donated by the owner.

The Easter tree is most often made from budding willow or Japanese acacia branches, arranged in a vase or bowl strong enough to support their weight. Easter eggs are placed on these branches, either emptied and painted, or made of plastic or fabric, along with other decorations such as flowers, bunnies, butterflies, chicks, and other symbols of spring.
Today, you can find a multitude of decorative or chocolate eggs specially designed for decorating a festive tree.
At Eclair, you will find a wide range of ornaments for your Easter tree: artificial flowers, eggs decorated with pheasant feathers, transparent glass eggs, and a vast assortment of home decorations. This year's hit decorations are the "chocolate" ones.
The celebration of Easter, with its true spiritual significance, is filled with more light and warmth when our surroundings are clean and beautiful.
