At Christmas, in 1969, Mike Kittredge, who was only 17, was too poor to buy his mother a gift, so he decided to melt his wax crayons and create a candle. A neighbor saw the gift and convinced Mike to sell it to her. With a small interest, the boy used that money to buy enough wax for two candles - one for his mother and one for sale. This is how Yankee Candle was born, which became the most recognized name among candle companies producing the most beloved candles in the world, thanks to customers' passion for each fragrance in the Yankee Candle assortment.

Today, with a selection of over 150 fragrances, Yankee Candle offers the widest and most compelling selection in the world of candles and home fragrances. In addition to the renowned "Housewarmer®" scented candle line, Yankee Candle delights us with a wide range of seasonal and specialty candles, home fragrances, car air fresheners, and candle accessories.

Most of our candles are made by master chandlers in our advanced candle manufacturing facility in Massachusetts, USA.

Yankee Candle owns over 500 stores in America and has over 45 distributors worldwide. The European warehouse and headquarters are located in Bristol, United Kingdom, from where they also reach the Republic of Moldova. For a year, our team convinced Yankee managers to offer us distribution, and in February 2016, after meeting with Yankee Candles representatives from the UK, we obtained distributor status and proceeded with administrative procedures so that in June, we could enjoy this product at home in Moldova.

Today, the future looks bright for new growth and expanding opportunities, and we will continue to write new chapters to contribute to this true American success story.
