Description

This exceptional Sencha comes from Kagoshima Prefecture, where subtropical breezes and the volcanic soil of Mount Sakurajima give rise to a tea of rare vitality. It is made mainly from the Benifuuki cultivar – prized even in Japan for its strength and complexity.

The leaves are slightly larger, the colour a vivid green, and the taste rich in vegetal depth and umami, with a fine astringency that lingers elegantly. A tea of clarity – born of volcanic fire.
