Apple cider vinegar is extremely simple to prepare; all you need is a little patience.
Ingredients:
- 2-3 cups of apples, depending on the jar size
- one tablespoon of sugar for each glass of water you will pour
- 1-2 glasses of filtered water
Preparation method:
- Cut the apples and place them in the jar until it is 3/4 full.
- Pour in the water mixed with sugar. I placed a weight (small plate) on top to prevent the apples from rising to the surface.
- Cover the jar with cheesecloth and tie it with string. Place it in a warm, dark place.
- For 14 days, stir a little once a day to ensure proper fermentation, prevent mold, and allow better oxygen penetration. If brown foam appears on top, remove it with a spoon.
- Strain the liquid and pour it into a clean jar. Cover again with cheesecloth for 2-4 weeks. You will know the vinegar is ready by its taste and smell.
